Joshua Raphael Uy
Josh Uy is a graduate student in Physics who joined the Beckstein Lab in Spring 2024. He graduated from Miami University with a double major in Physics (B.S.) and Mathematics (B.A). During his undergrad, he was part of the Optical Spectroscopy and Imaging Methods (OSIM) Lab where he focused on both experimental and computational tissue optics.
He joined the lab for a Spring 2024 rotation project based on applying dimensionality reduction techniques to molecular dynamics trajectories of membrane proteins. Currently, he is following up on this project in order characterize conformational changes from such lower dimensions.
Outside of the lab, he enjoys reading fantasy novels, playing video games, and playing music.
