Rekha Joshi
Rekha Joshi is a graduate student in Physics as ASU. She joined the Beckstein Lab in Spring 2024. She completed her master’s in physics from Tribhuvan University, Nepal. During her master’s, she conducted research on the temperature quench echo of α-Cobratoxin using NAMD.
Rekha joined the lab for a Spring 2024 rotation project based on coarse-grained molecular dynamics (CGMD) simulations, focusing on the lipid-protein interactions of Prestin. Currently, she is following up on this project to understand the preferential interactions of Prestin with different lipids and to build a workflow for CG simulations of Prestin with realistic lipid membrane compositions.
Besides her academic interests, Rekha loves to travel to different places and listen to music.
