SciPy 2016

SciPy is an annual conference bringing together scientists and software developers that use, develop, and maintain the scientific Python ecosystem. This year the conference takes place from July 11-17, 2016 on the campus of the University of Texas at Austin.

The Becksteinlab will attend in force this year: Oliver, David and Sean will be in Austin.

  • David Dotson will speak on datreant : Persistent, Pythonic Trees for Heterogeneous Data 1 (Wednesday, 7/13/16, 2:00 pm, first talk in the General Track).
  • Oliver Beckstein will introduce MDAnalysis : A Python Package for the Rapid Analysis of Molecular Dynamics Simulations 2,3 to the wider scientific Python community in the Medicine and Biology mini symposium (also Wednesday, 4:00pm).

See the 2016 Talk and Poster Schedule for more details and get in touch with us if you want to meet up (email or tweet @orbeckst , @dotsdl, or @slseyler). Ask us for free MDAnalysis stickers!
